EDEXCEL GCSE Citizenship 9-1 Theme A Living in the UK: A 60 min lesson the complex identities of UK Citizens as required by the EDEXCEL spec. This could be used as a detailed introduction to the topic or a revision session.

Conception and making babies: what happens when egg and sperm meet?
This is the fourth lesson in our Year 6 unit on puberty, genes, and the human lifecycle.
In this lesson, we will recap our Year 5 science lessons, where we learned about reproduction in mammals, before delving deeper as we apply this knowledge to humans and how reproduction plays a key role in the human life cycle.
We will look at the role of the male and female sex cells (gametes) and how their union leads to a genetically unique offspring that inherits traits from each parent.
Please note that this lesson predominantly focuses on the scientific aspects of reproduction, with a particular focus on fertilisation and conception.
While sexual intercourse is briefly mentioned, it is not taught in detail. This topic will, however, be revisited when we learn about loving and intimate relationships later on in the school year.

Bullying and unkind words - KS1 PSHE

Calming Down EYFS PSHE lesson.
A detailed, fully resourced PSHE lesson suitable for EYFS/Reception age children. This lesson has been designed for use with children in Reception, however, the PowerPoint and activities could be adapted for use with other age groups.
In this lesson, the children will recap the previous lesson’s learning on feelings and the faces that people often make when they are feeling happy, sad, angry, scared, or calm. We will then discuss how different emotions make us feel, paying particular attention to feelings that don’t feel nice like sadness, anger, and fear. Online world KS1 PSHE lesson. A one-hour long, very detailed, fully resourced PSHE lesson suitable for KS1. This lesson has been created for Year 1, however, the activities are also suitable for students in Year 2, and could easily be adapted for use with older students.
In this lesson, the children will learn about digital devices and the different ways that people use them in their daily lives. We will read Once Upon a Time, Online by David Bedford, before completing activities linked to the text.
We will discuss the importance of asking permission before we use the internet and reflect on the reasons why we need to balance the time we spend online.
The lesson includes a starter activity, a story with accompanying questions, fairy-tale themed main activity, and a plenary task.
Created to fit the new DfE and PSHE Association statutory 2020 /21 guidelines, the lesson includes a detailed PowerPoint, all editable with accompanying tasks and worksheets.
The lesson has been left editable and is filled with engaging, well differentiated and fun activities. It is designed to be ‘no prep’, so you can just pick it up and use it, although it is still adaptable should you wish to.

EYFS - PSHE RSE Resources
A bundle of EYFS RSE resources that have been created by our early years specialist.
The lessons have been designed for use with children in Reception, however, the PowerPoint and activities could be adapted for use with other age groups.
Each lesson includes includes a sing-along starter activity (to ensure a swift start to the lesson), a story with accompanying questions, an adult-led focus task, an independent activity to be carried out during continuous provision, and a plenary task.
